The France Agricole Group, show organiser

GROUPE-FRANCE-AGRICOLE

"La France Agricole" is Europe's most widely circulated weekly journal.
The France Agricole Group has progressively developed itself around the "La France Agricole" weekly journal. In 1945, everything had to be rebuilt, including press efforts. A handful of farmers therefore decided to create a journal to keep agricultural players informed. As years passed, "La France Agricole" has become Europe's most widely circulated (fee-based) weekly journal.
Other publications eventually joined "La France Agricole", such as RIA – the monthly food industry review (created in 1953) -, La Vigne, the Dairy Producer, and Agrodistribution. Also, while accompanying the profound changes affecting agriculture and the food processing industry, the France Agricole Group has become the leading source for access to information, expertise and essential services in the food industries.

The Territories' Entrepreneurs

logo_entrepreneurs_des_territoires
Existing since the end of the 19th century, farms' grain processing operations gave birth to agricultural treatment companies as of 1945. As they were major players in the increased mechanical nature of agriculture, and due to the hardship of work, the entrepreneurs of this era organised themselves into a national federation.

Nowadays, evolving customer needs, increasingly sophisticated equipment and the preservation of the environment are driving agricultural, forestry and rural work companies to broaden their areas of expertise and to strive for quality. The Federation of the Territories' Entrepreneurs, which regroups all of these companies, symbolises the entire current and future development of the market for service providers.
Each year, the Territories' Entrepreneurs invest nearly 150 million euros in equipment; crucial financing which ensures that farmers, forestry professionals and local authorities (the Territories' Entrepreneurs' privileged clients) are able to run quality operations. The Entrepreneurs are increasingly in a position to handle projects from start to finish. Their corporation's reputation is linked to the quality of their results. As a result, they have to adhere to specification requirements that include the best products along with the most appropriate professional techniques. The companies, which are highly efficient, are constantly adapting themselves to the never-ending changes of the rural environment.
No matter what is required, the Territories' Entrepreneurs are always available!

Ondes Secondary School, areas experiencing job growth

logo-lyce-dondes_ok 2

For over 100 years, the Ondes Agricultural Secondary School has trained generations of business owners and developers in the agricultural world.

During the last few years, the school has adapted its training program in three areas:

•    the fitting out and organisation of space
•    conception, improvement and maintenance of agricultural equipment, public works, parks and gardens, handling
•    agronomics and the environment

Diplomas can be obtained through academic courses, continued training and apprenticeships.

Professionals in these sectors offer many jobs (team managers, company directors, technicians, consultants, supervisors, teachers, engineers). The number of young students trained to technical school certificate, baccalaureate, vocational training certificate, bachelor degree and engineering level is insufficient with regards to current demand. Nowadays these careers are less tiresome than in the past, and they are paid better as well.

Please feel free to come explore these careers as well as the academic programs offered by the Ondes Secondary School (advanced studies, professional baccalaureate, technological baccalaureate, vocational training certificate, professional degree, professional certificate). A diverse range of courses is available for girls and boys of all ages to discover.

The Haute-Garonne Chamber of Agriculture

CDA31

Following the success of its first two editions, it becomes apparent that Innov’Agri Great South-West is the chance for farmers to see for themselves, and to learn about, the techniques and equipment that will shape tomorrow's agriculture. Because this is what this meeting, one-of-a-kind in the South-West, is really about: gaining new skills in order to stay on the cutting edge of modern and quality agriculture, and to remain competitive with regards to global players. Our Chamber of Agriculture shares this objective on a local scale, and through this third edition, it reaffirms its commitment to the show and its strong partnership with the France Agricole Group.

The Haute-Garonne Chamber of Agriculture is a professional public entity that is run by elected officials who are in charge of representing farming interests. It is the voice of the industry when interacting with the government, and it acts as a consultant to farmers and local authorities for missions that favour agricultural development, the promotion of professionals, companies and territories. We have multi-disciplinary skills which allow us to accompany farmers and help them to succeed in their profession. Our 18 field consultants, assisted by 25 regional specialists, provide farmers with all of the advice and technical backing necessary to optimise their companies, while giving them a genuinely nearby service, thanks to our offices which are decentralised across the regional territory.
